Celebrating 90 Years of Music

This is a special invitation to congregations and friends to attend the Service to launch the 90th Anniversary Celebration of the Diocesan Festival Choir to be held as detailed above.
Rt. Rev. Alfred Reid will be the Preacher at the Service.
Background
The Diocesan Festival Choir was inaugurated in 1925 under the direction of Mr. George Goode. The Choir was and has remained highly inter-denominational. The Choir, whose ministry is to present God and Jesus Christ to all who attend its presentations, continues to provide music of a high quality to a wide cross-section of the Jamaican population and to further the progress of the art of music in the Diocese It has approximately 50 singers, is accompanied on piano and organ by Mrs. Ann Trouth. The Director is Mr. Michael Sutherland. For the 90th Anniversary Celebration, noted Choir Director, Mr. Geoffrey Shields, will serve as Guest Conductor and additional Choir members have been drawn in to augment the Choir.
