The National Council of the Anglican Youth Fellowship in the Diocese of Jamaica and The Cayman Islands joyfully announces the installation of its officers, an event graced with spiritual significance and communal celebration. The Installation occurred on the Last Sunday after the Epiphany (Sunday, February 11. 2024), at the Church of Saint Mark in Browns Town, under the pastoral guidance of Reverend Judith Atkinson Linton, who both presided over the ceremony and delivered an inspiring homily.
Drawing from the readings of the day, Reverend Atkinson Linton exhorted the newly installed officers and the assembled congregation which included boarders at the St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School to reflect upon the transcendent moments of spiritual enlightenment experienced atop life’s metaphorical mountains. Through these transformative encounters, attendees were encouraged to discern the divine changes unfolding within themselves and their communities.
At the recently concluded Annual General Meeting of the National Council of the Anglican Youth Fellowship on Saturday, January 27, 2024, the following faithful youths were nominated to serve as officers:
- President: Jenalee Johnson, Church of the Ascension, Mona
- Vice President: Stephen Minott, Church of the Ascension, Mona
- Secretary: Zara Campbell, Church of the Ascension, Mona

- Public Relations Officer: Dujaugh Knott, St. James Parish Church
- Spiritual Coordinator: Dahlia Lodge, St. Marks, Mandeville

In expressing her vision for the Council’s mission in the year, President Jenalee Campbell articulated, “The members of AYF are currently dispersed. Before we can embark on the sacred journey of Telling and teaching to Transform the World, it is imperative that we diligently Tend to those who are distant, echoing the compassionate example of the Good Shepherd.”
Furthermore, the esteemed Reverend Nina-Rae Barrett, Rector of the Lucea Parish Church, has graciously accepted the role of Chaplain to the Council, providing spiritual guidance and support throughout their endeavours. Additionally, Drs. Paul and Angela Scott, esteemed members of the Church of the Ascension, Mona, have generously agreed to serve as Advisors for the term culminating in January 2025.
As the Council embarks on this noble journey of faith and service, let us collectively offer our prayers and support, trusting in God’s providence to guide and bless their endeavours.
