BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW
JAMAICA AND THE CAYMAN ISLANDS
I am extremely delighted to greet my brothers and indeed all members of the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands on this St. Andrew Day 2018. This day is marked by celebrations by B.S.A. chapters throughout the world in honour of our Patron Saint
“Andrew” Indeed this is a good day to invite other men and boys into our various chapters while we recite the prayers of St. Andrew, reflecting on how he lived his life in his capacity of the first called Apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I wish to remind our members of our commitment and devotion without reservation or hesitation to the OBJECTIVE of our treasured organisation; which is to SPREAD CHRIST’S KINGDOM THROUGH DEDICATED PRAYER; VIBRANT STUDY OF THE HOLY WORD AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP THROUGH LOVING SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY, OUR CHURCH AND OUR MEMBERS”
I invite all of us but particularly our members to prayerfully discern how God has uniquely gifted each one of us and in doing so to reflect on what priority God and His Church play in our lives. In so doing let us decide how we plan to share these gifts with God and His Church and let us make an intentional, planned and total commitment to God and His Church.
Our new Brotherhood of St. Andrew Handbook (Revised Edition 2017) provides important guidelines for achieving all of the above stated objectives and recommendations. It is very important that all members of the B.S.A.be well informed of the Constitution, Rules, Bye-Laws and Methods of Working of our revered Organisation. I, therefore, hereby appeal to our members to acquire a copy of this important document and fervently study the information therein.
To all our members and friends wherever you may be I wish you all a very profitable and happy St. Andrew’s Day 2018
Cleston Singh
President
